Hi friends!
How are you all. Today I want to share a few experiences.
During my various interactions with friends, colleagues and acquaintances, one of the common questions, which keeps popping up is,
“We are from the same background & college, similar education, over that I am more experienced with more skill sets, yet, I have not got that much awaited pay raise or promotion, but the other person has got it, Why?”
We need to understand-
Each one of us are unique Individuals, having our unique mindsets & capabilities.
We all know that it is not the smartest people who are the most successful or the most fulfilled in life. We know people who are academically brilliant and yet are socially inept and unsuccessful at work or in their personal relationships. Intellectual ability or your intelligence quotient (IQ) is not enough on its own to achieve success in life. IQ can help us get into a job or college, but it is EQ that will help us manage the stress and emotions when facing the day to day challenges. IQ and EQ exist in tandem and are most effective when they build off one another.
The few traits shown in this picture are the important pillars of, Emotional wellness, which are the major skills for overall success. The best thing about them is that these can be developed over a period of time.
Hope it is helpful and reflects some more insight.
I want to end it by quoting that-
“You are obligated to understand that you are unique in the world. There has never been anyone like you because, if there were, there would be no need for you to exist. You are an utterly new thing in creation. Your life goal is to realize this uniqueness.”
